Holy Hair!

Well the time had finally come! The hair just had to go! Sorry Gram, no more curls, we're a big boy now! However, change doesn't always come easy! In fact, it can be down right traumatic!!
See what I mean?!
Here's a couple of "before" pictures.
And here's the brand new "big boy"!
As I was saying, though, the whole event was so much worse than what I remember with Tyson's first haircut. It was like he sensed from the moment he walked in the door that something bad was going down. You would have thought we were plucking out each one of his hairs one at a time the way he screamed and squirmed. I literally had to wrestle with him the entire time she was trying to cut his hair. I've never seen hair fly like that! As soon as I put him down he ran straight to the door and looked back with the biggest puppy dog eyes you've ever seen!
Needless to say, this may be the last hair cut he gets for a while!
Get me the heck outta here!

Happy Father's Day

The day started off with a great breakfast! Unfortunately for Dad he had to make it himself, but he's the only one that can make his famous bisquits and gravy!

The boys seemed to really enjoy them!!

After a few hard hours of yard work (again, sorry Dad!) we finally got to do something fun that Dad got to pick! Bear Country U.S.A.!

Look, it's my three little bears!
The first part of the park we stayed in the Jeep and drove around and saw all sorts of fun animals! At the end, we were able to get out and walk around and see the baby animals! It was pretty warm today, so a lot of them were taking cover in the shade. Even with that though, we still got to see quite a few!

Tyson couldn't choose when we asked what his favorite animal was. He didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings! Mine, however, were the bears. They were everywhere (that is the name of the place, ya know!)

Trying to beat the heat!

This little cutie had to be my favorite. She was in where you walked around, so we were pretty close to her.

She even did tricks. The worker would tell her to wave, and up she'd go on her hind legs and wave at all the people. Her reward..a fudge stripe cookie-YUM!

Got and itch, you gotta scratch it!
Well another great weekend for the books! Dad really knows how to pick a place that's fun! After all he is a great Dad and a wonderful husband. We are so lucky to have you!
Happy Father's Day!
We love you--Angie, Tyson, and Aiden

Weekend at Gram's...Minus Gram!

We made a quick trip down to Wall on Saturday to work in Gram's garden while she was off sailing in the "big boat" aka: on her cruise with Great Grandma and Grandpa, and Aunt Amy.
It had rained a half an inch on Friday night, so the garden was a bit of a muddy mess, but we trudged through and got some much needed weeding done!

You can't go down to Gram's, though, withought going to the Drug Store!

Tyson has become quite the cowboy, and loves to show off his skills for the camera!

Nothing like a little wagon ride in the countryside!

Aren't they just the cutest cowboy and indian you've ever seen?!

It's not a complete trip to the Drug Store without a run through the "sprinklers".

We had supper at Aunt Arla's to help celebrate Aunt Mary's birthday before coming home Saturday evening. The trip home was eventful to say the least, and my Jeep has the dents to prove it!

The picture doesn't quite do it justice, but this little fella sure served up the hail. We had to pull over to the shoulder around New Underwood. After about 7 minutes of torture, and a huge peice of hail hitting the passenger window, we got the heck out of there and made it home safely. The boys were troopers (the noise was incredible from the hail). It took quite a bit of coaxing to finally convince Tyson he could take his hands off his ears, but when he finally did he couldn't stop talking about the ordeal! Needless to say, he had a good story to tell all his friends at Day Care today!
