Winter Classic

The Rushmore Thunder Mites held their 2nd annual Winter Classic this year!  They were able to play one of the games outside at Downtown Square.  It was freezing that morning, so Dad and Tyson went in to his game while Aiden and I got ready and came in a little later just in time for his game.

Taking a little breather
After the games out at the square we headed right over to the Thunderdome for the rest of the games.  Between the 2 boys they were playing pretty much the entire day!

Enjoying the action with the Merchan's
That evening after all of the games were done, they had a pizza party for the kids/families that were going to be staying overnight at the Thunderdome.  The boys decided they wanted to do the slumber party, so Dad was brave and stayed the night with them:)

They had a few games set up for the kids to do, as well as a jumpy castle!  The boys had a blast getting to play and hang out with all of their friends!

I left at around 9pm and everyone was still going strong!  I guess they didn't go to bed until  close to midnight and were up at 7am.  They ate a quick breakfast before coming home...and they. were. exhausted.  Tyson spent the rest of the day sleeping...literally!  If he was up...he was complaining about how terrible he felt!  I'm thinking he's a bit like  his mother when it comes to not tolerating very little sleep:)  Thank goodness they had a day to recover!

Merry Christmas!

The boys were up early (big surprise) to check and see if Santa had brought them any presents!  Wouldn't ya know...he had! :)

Aiden really wanted the Dora cash register...as you can see from his expression!

Tyson was really hoping for and Under Armor hoodie...as you can see from his expression!

Tyson also got a brand new hockey stick...which he wasted no time in testing out!

Santa appeared to enjoy his cookies and milk
After opening our presents at home we headed up to Aunt Marla and Uncle Tony's to celebrate Christmas with my side of the family.  It was a house full.   Grandma Brenda, Great Grandma and Grandpa, Jan, Carl, Whitney and Malikai, and Terry and Amy all made it up to celebrate the day!
Grandma...as usual...over did it when it came to the boys' presents! :)  It was mass chaos...and a lot of fun!

Check out that pile behind the boys

Amy and Terry are always spoiling the boys!  They got them this awesome basketball hoop!

It was a great day, and wonderful to be able to spend it with our family!

Christmas Eve

The boys could hardly wait to start opening presents on Christmas Eve!  We open presents to each other on Christmas Eve, so Santa has plenty of room under the tree for his presents to the boys!
