Snow day...X 2!!

It finally happened....a "real" snow storm!  They had been predicting it for a few days, but we have most certainly been let down before, so we weren't holding our breath!  Well, they had it right this time, and after a record breaking 20 inches of snow in a 24 hour period, the sun finally came out this afternoon, so it was time to go play in the white stuff!  Schools were closed yesterday and today, and to say that the children are growing restless would be an understatement!  Nothing like a little fresh air to use up a little energy!

Tyson found/made special forts around all of the drifts

Dad decided he wanted to make a snow fort/tunnel in the snow.  He made quick work shoveling through the snow while the boys played around.

Aiden thought he would try it out too

and there he is!!!

Mission accomplished!
giving it a run through

Samson even tried it out!
After a good 45 minutes the boys had decided they were ready to come in and warm up!  It has been a long time since we have seen this much snow, and the boys had a blast getting to play in it!

Easter at Grams

We headed down to Grandma Brenda's for the weekend to celebrate Easter with her.  It had been several months since we had been down there, because most every other weekend during the winter she was up at our house to take in the Rush games, so the boys were very excited to get to be going down to Grandma's!
