Winter Classic

The Mites had their annual Winter Classic, except this year it started up in the hills at Palmer Gulch on Friday night.  They had cabins available so that you didn't have to drive back and forth, so we jumped at the opportunity!  We rented a cabin together with the Bartling's and Merchen's.  All of the boys get along really well and we knew they would have a blast!  It was cold...to put it nicely...but it definitely didn't damper the spirit!  The boys didn't even notice...they were too busy skating all over the frozen pond having a blast!  They had made a campfire, which I stood by and kept a watch over. :)

The next morning they started early with games out on the pond, before heading back to the Thunderdome to finish off the day.

They each had a couple more games at the Thunderdome, and then finished off the night with a pizza party, more skating, and a bouncy castle.

It was another great weekend of hockey!  We were all exhausted by Saturday night when we left the Thunderdome at 9pm.

Merry Christmas

Since Christmas fell in the middle of the week, I had to work until noon on Christmas Eve.  As soon as I got home we packed up and headed down to Grandma Brenda's to celebrate Christmas!  Grandma still goes overboard with presents for the boys and they couldn't wait to get started on them as soon as we got down there. :)
notice the large pile of clothes next to Tyson...yep...all from Grandma:)

I seem to notice a theme with Aiden's attire:)

Uncle Terry and Aunt Amy came home for Christmas, and stayed at Mom's with us

The Sound Of Music collector's edition from Uncle Terry and Aunt Amy...made Mom's day! :)
Luckily Santa got the memo that we were going to be at Grandma's for Christmas, and he snuck in some presents for the boys to open on Christmas morning!
would you expect any other outfit?! :)

Tyson's big present was a huge Lego set that he had so badly wanted and Aiden got his very own Kindle!  Santa done well! :)  After we opened presents we got ready and headed out to Aunt Diane and Uncle Norm's to celebrate Christmas with the WHOLE family!  There were around 40 people in the house...and wouldn't have wanted it any other way!  Thanks so much Aunt Di and Uncle Norm for letting us be a part of the celebration! :)  Christmas is also Uncle Norm's birthday and he turned 70, so we had a whole lot to celebrate!

All the kids enjoying their lunch...14 in all!

We decided to grab a few pics since it isn't very often that we are all together....
the "girls" grandkids...missing Janet:(

Great Grandkids...it was a bit of a challenge:)

that's as good as it gets! :)
We left for home after supper since Scott and I both had to work the next day.  It was great to get to see everyone!  Happy Birthday Uncle Norm...and Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve...a little early:)

We always open gifts to each other on Christmas Eve.  Well, the boys couldn't wait til actual Christmas Eve to open them.  In fact...we were lucky we even made it to the 22nd!:)
Aiden dressed up for the occasion:)

It was all over in a matter of minutes, but I think everyone was pleased with the gifts they received! :)
