Aiden's Holiday Party

Aiden's class had their Holiday party on Friday.  I am very lucky that most of the boys' parties/programs are on Friday's and that is my day off, so I am able to go to all of them. :)

Decorating his Santa hat

such a cutie

Next it was on to the games...
waiting patiently for his turn

doing the "reindeer crawl"  with a cotton ball stuck to his nose with Vaseline

Making him into a snowman

the cutest snowman I've ever seen...:)

marshmallow game....had to pick them up using the straw and transfer them into the cup

his candy cane reindeer he made...so proud:)

being silly with his treats
The party was a success and all of the kids had a ton of fun!  There is a lot of parent involvement with his class, which makes it all the more enjoyable. I am so happy I get to enjoy these special times with him...while I'm still cool.:)

Aiden's Christmas Program

Aiden had his Christmas program on Friday.  Grandma Brenda was able to come up so she could see both Aiden and Mason perform. :)

His teacher, Ms. Weiss, in the teel shirt...we love her!

Being silly...Mason is in the low right hand corner in the orange striped shirt

Sooooo handsome

The music teacher does a wonderful job with the kids and it is always a great program!  Tyson didn't have a Christmas program...he gets his turn in the Spring when the older kids will have a Spring Concert.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We were able to celebrate Thanksgiving at our house again this year with the Dunbar clan!  It has become quite the tradition and we look forward to it every year!  Unfortunately, Uncle Brian and Lex stayed home (Uncle Brian was recovering from knee surgery and Lex had school obligations).  Abby, Rhonda and Larry were also unable to come due to work.  I am ashamed to say I took almost ZERO pictures the whole weekend...too busy just enjoying everyone's company, I guess!  We celebrated Thanksgiving Thursday at lunch and then hung out until Thursday evening when we ventured in to do a little "pre Black Friday" shopping!
I had to work a few hours Friday morning, but then was able to spend the rest of the day with the family, and we all ventured in for the annual Rush hockey game Friday night!  Scott was able to get 8 tickets in the box and then we used our season tickets as well.  Unfortunately, Barrett wasn't a huge fan of the Rush, so him and Megan and Dan went home early:(  The Rush won the game, though and it was fun to get to all go together.
We also make sure to visit Chuck E. Cheese's when the Farewell's are in town...and thank goodness we did, otherwise I wouldn't have had any pictures to prove that the weekend even happened.:)

Skee ball was the favorite...Aunt Jean, Kyra, Tyson, Cade, and Jessie

You could say we kinda took over the skee ball:)

Sunday came too quickly and everyone headed back home.:(  We were so glad to be able to spend time with them over the long weekend!  Thankfully this year Thanksgiving is late, so in just a few short weeks we will all be back together to enjoy Christmas down at Grammy and Poppy's!

Goalie time

The boys continue to do awesome with hockey and enjoy every Saturday when they get to play games.  The Mini's don't use goalies, but the L3's do, and Tyson likes to get his goalie time in too!  He does a great job, whether he is skating or in front of the net.

Looks like the little Wez is gonna score!

Check out that handsome goalie!

Thunder Hockey!

The Thunder hockey season is underway, and we couldn't be more excited.  Aiden plays on the green team and is #6...just like Riley Wesloeski!  He is our "little Wez", you know!

pictures are tough through the glass

Go Wez Go!

Looking to sneak up from behind!

Ready for the puck drop...Oh yeah, and Conrad Reeder is one of the coaches since his 2 little boys both play.  That's him to the left of Aiden

So happy!!  He had an awesome game!  He scored 6 goals and was a mad man out there...all over the ice!  Way to go buddy!
The big boys then got their turn out on the ice.  The L3's start the season playing half ice and then after the holidays they usually go to full ice.
The 3 amigos...Landon, Caleb, and Tyson

Tyson is #3 on the yellow team...getting ready for the face off

Look at that beautiful pass

Tyson had an awesome game as well...3 goals and several assists...and just as many take-aways.  It's going to be another great season!

Children's Museum

We try to make it down to Uncle Terry's and Aunt Amy's when we can, so when the boys had no school on Friday we jumped on the chance to load up the car, pick up Grandma Brenda in Wall and head down to Howard for the weekend!  We woke up Friday morning and headed to Brookings to check out the Children's Museum.  Aunt Amy treated us to Buffalo Wild Wings and then it was off to explore!
check out those mechanic skills

pure muscle!
This thing was really cool...it looked like clouds and they were alternated so you could climb all the way up...high in the sky! :)  There was a net all the way around for safety.  It took a little for Aiden to warm up to it, but when he did it was almost impossible to get him off of it!
Tyson has a bit of the lead on Aiden

Tyson made it to the top

checking out the earthquake table with Dad

Wahoo!  Aiden made it to the top!

concentrating on  his work

looks like Aiden found a friend:)

Tyson harvesting some corn
They had a cool grocery store with shopping carts, fake food, empty boxes of food, and complete with a cash register and check out lane that beeped when you slid the groceries over it...so cool!  We spent a good deal of time in this area.

checking out the cool water station

Aiden found this drum and you'll never guess what he immediately starting playing.... that's right..."Let's Go Rush!"  It was pretty much hilarious!!

Tyson working in the huge Lego room

Nice work buddy!

Aiden back playing in the clouds:)

Aiden delivering mail to all of the different businesses
There was a media room where you could dress up and pretend to be newscasters with a camera man and everything.  Grandma and Aiden tried out their media skills.
Lookin good Grandma!

Tyson making a pattern on the huge light up board

Check out that team work!

Aiden's hiding in the back...silly boy!
The boys...and all of us actually...had a blast!  There were so many cool things to do!  We spent over 3 hours there before heading back to Aunt Amy's for the evening.  The weekend flew by as always.  We went to Sioux Falls Saturday, and then headed back home on Sunday.  Thanks so much Uncle Terry and Aunt Amy for a wonderful weekend!  We can't wait til we get to do it again!
