Dunbar Christmas!!

We went down to Grammy and Poppy's to celebrate Christmas with all of the Dunbars! We drove down on Thursday afternoon, so were able to spend lots of time playing and enjoying every one's company.

I sure wish Tyson would lighten up around the camera!

Aiden had been talking about Kyra and his new trick he learned at Thanksgiving for days! It was no surprise that as soon as she walked in the door, and every time he saw her they did their signature pose!

Having some supper on Christmas Eve. I'm not sure, but Tyson may be a little worn out from a full day of fun!

Grammy has several little stuffed animals that play all sorts of fun songs if you squeeze their feet. Aiden fell in love with them. Him and Poppy would play a game where Aiden would start the music and Poppy would start cutting a rug. Aiden would then abruptly stop the music and Poppy would freeze in his dancing position....cracked Aiden up every time!

Christmas morning with every one's stockings full of goodies from Santa!

There was no shortage of presents!

Santa must have been wanting to offset the sugar from the chocolate he put in our stockings, because everyone also got a toothbrush!

Santa got both of the boys really cool remote control cars. They both seemed to be pretty happy with his choice!

After the boys opened all of their presents from Santa they graciously helped Mom and Dad open theirs!

It wasn't long before the two big boys decided to try out the remote control cars!

Nothin like a family picture first thing in the morning in PJ's...except for Aiden-he was dressed and ready to go!

Tyson got Dad a Rush stocking hat, so now all 3 boys have their own!

Grammy and Poppy got all of the grandkids pillow pets. They were a big hit....Aiden had to give his (a penguin) a big love right away!

Tyson got a lion. He was telling us on the way home Sunday that he was really hoping for a pillow pet for Christmas, and how cool it was that since Santa didn't get him one that Grammy and Poppy did!

Mom and Dad got the boys each a special "Rush" present for Christmas. Tyson got a Rush hockey stick.......

Aiden can't get enough of "Grammy-Poppy"....and yes, he still calls him that every time!

Aiden got the Rush mascot-"Nugget" for his special present. Poppy was putting on a little ventriloquist act for Aiden right here. He got the biggest kick out of it!

After the show Aiden decided to take him on a little tractor ride.

The boys each got a Wii game from Santa. Aiden got the "Up" game and Tyson got an NHL hockey game. Aunt Megan also got him a hockey game that has a mites league with little kids...really cool! They couldn't wait to play it. Megan is probably taking the boys to school....
Whatever is happening.....it's looks pretty serious!
There was no shortage of action at Grammy and Poppy's house. Brian took the kids downstairs for a friendly football game!

Aiden and I decided to sit on the sidelines and cheer them on.....

My attempt at taking our picture...great, huh?! Sorry about cutting off your head Samson!

Jessie got a dance game for the Wii, and the girls were having fun cuttin-a-rug. Aiden even got in on a little of the action!

Cade and Tyson each got an activity set where you glued together pieces of wood to make a bird feeder/house and then they painted them. There was also pieces to make a plane and race car but we have saved those for another day.

Just sitting around visiting....
Someone must have been telling quite the story!

This next picture cracks me up......Abby was "beating" Lex with a Spongebob inflatable hammer...too funny! Don't worry...she came out without a scratch...or bruise on her! :)

Megan and Dan.

The "grown-ups" do a gift exchange where we draw names for presents. We had Brian and happened to find these Vikings car mats.......
I think he liked them!

Megan had Scott, and apparently she thinks he needs some help in the "aroma" department!

We had a great time at Grammy and Poppy's. The kids have so much fun getting to play together, and the "grown-ups" always seem to enjoy themselves as well. We had a wonderful Christmas and can't wait to all get back together again soon for more fun and games!
Bring on 2011!!!!!

Carmichael Christmas!

We went down to Grandma Brenda's last weekend to celebrate Christmas. As usual, there was no shortage of presents! Saturday night the boys got to open their presents to each other!

Aiden was on a mission to get the job done!

Cousin Mason got Tyson an Air Hockey table...boy does he know what Tyson likes!:) It has gotten a looooooootttttt of use since we got home Sunday night. The felt is already starting to come off of the handles.

Aiden got a lavender stuffed animal and a Spongebob bath set (with shaving cream and shaver) from Drew. Tyson thought that was the coolest thing ever. I think he's "shaved" about 5 times since Monday. He's got the smoothest face in Summerset:) They both took a tub on Monday night and took turns getting to shave. Aiden would watch Tyson closely and then try his best to do it just like big bro. It was the cutest thing ever!!

As I mentioned earlier....there was no shortage of presents! Grandma has a bit of a problem when it comes to getting the boys presents....as in she gets them soooooo many!!! There has got to be an 800 number or something for that!! She totally spoils them , and the boys have so much fun getting to open ALL of their goodies from Grandma. She spoils us big kids pretty good too! Thank-you Grandma for all of the wonderfuly gifts! The picture above is all of the presents before we passed them out among everyone!

Let the fun begin!

Tyson is going to be one sharp-dressed boy for school. Grandma "hooked him up"!

Aiden loves to dance, so Grandma got him a collection of cool kid songs including nursery rhymes and silly songs. He was obsessed with it after he opened it, and we really had to work on him to get his other presents open! He couldn't wait to put it in Grandma's CD player so he could "cut-a-rug!"

Teamwork!
Aiden got this huge farm set....from Grandma, of course! Boy does he love animals! He couldn't wait to open it up and check out all of the "almos".

Just chillin! It's hard work opening up all of those presents!
The six of us "big kids" are going to fix Mom's central vacuum for Christmas! It has more duct tape on it than the ocean has sand! Janet wrote a cute little ditty about her present! Now we just have to send it off to the manufacturer so they can let us know what all needs to be fixed so that it may one day be "tape-free"! :)
We tried are best to get a group picture with the boys and Grandma! Not bad!!
Just playing a little choo-choo!
Janet's birthday was also on Sunday, so the boys helped decorate her cake!
They do great work!
And the finished product.........................
Beautiful!

They also decorated cupcakes!

"Happy Birthday to you."

We had a great time celebrating Christmas and Janet's birthday...and being all together as a family! The boys played non-stop, and we enjoyed visiting, playing Trivia Pursuit, and watching old family movies (Thank-you Janet for one of the best gifts ever..priceless!)
Janet spent COUNTLESS hours putting together tidbits from our family videos that mom did while we were growing up. She put them on a DVD and we watched it all together Saturday night. We laughed so hard! Talk about some "sexy" looks we had goin at times! We also got to see Mom and Dad get their groove on during Dad's 50th birthday party...so cute! I have an idea I'll be watching it over and over!
