Weekend in Howard

We made a quick trip down to Aunt Amy and Uncle Terry's to bring back the Navigator for our trip to Idaho.  We are so thankful they offered us to use it!  It saved a lot of money from having to rent a vehicle big enough to fit all 7 of us!  Thanks again Aunt Amy and Uncle Terry!  We love you!

It never seems to fail that every time we are down there the wildlife are everywhere!  This time it was a little ground mole and salamander.  Abbie (their dog)  had chased this poor little guy up the eves and it took the work of Scott, Grandma, and Aunt Amy to flush him out...only for him to run straight into the window well! :)  It took some effort, but after a few minutes Scott scooped him up with a shovel and he was off!

Isn't he cute?

This little guy was right by the window well checking things out while we were working on getting the ground mole out
Since it was nearing a certain boy's 9th birthday Grandma brought her presents down for him to open while we were there.
Lovin all the new school clothes!

Little brother checking out the action
Aunt Amy and Uncle Terry have a way of spoiling the boys...they had dart guns for both boys as a special present for coming to see them!  They spent the rest of the time there shooting them at their big picture window trying to hit flies! :)  Sharp shooter Tyson actually hit one...can you believe it?!
Saturday afternoon we drove over to Madison and Amy and Terry took us out to lunch at this cool restaurant that was right along the water!  The boys had a blast playing in the water while we waited for our lunch.
Oops...I think I stepped in something!

My 2 handsome boys!

I couldn't resist a family picture in front of the water

Wading in the waves that were made from the boats coming in to the dock

Catching a few more waves before heading out
On our way back through Madison we stopped at a park for the boys to play.  Grandma hit a jackpot of these little guys (well...their shells anyway)  YUCK!  She was like a kid in the candy store.  She's excited to take them to school to show to her school kids this fall!
That evening we celebrated Tyson and Grandma Brenda's birthdays with birthday cake and ice cream!  Aunt Amy made a cake for each of them, and they all got to blow out candles!  Have I mentioned how great Aunt Amy is?! :)

Waiting to blow out the candles while we sing Happy Birthday

Like always...we had a great time, and the weekend went by way too fast!  Scott drove the navigator home while I drove Grandma's car back.  Thanks again for letting us borrow the Navigator...we love you!
