We have started a bit of tradition of having Thanksgiving at our house with all of Scott's family. Last year was so much fun we knew we wanted to do it again! Unfortunately; Megan, Dan, Abby, and Levi were unable to come up this year, but the rest of the crew was in full force! We had a ton of fun getting to spend 3 whole days together. The kids had a blast playing together, and as always we adults enjoyed sitting around visiting and playing cards. I was apparently fairly side- tracked with all of the activity, because I didn't take very many pictures this year :(
These two could be found fairly regularly playing games or just snuggling with each other:)
We celebrated Thanksgiving Thursday afternoon, and hung out watching football the rest of the day. Thursday night Jeanie, Lex, Kyra, Jessie, and I drove up to the Spearfish Walmart for some "Black Friday" shopping...a little early! Scott left the same time we did and went in to Target to stand in line for some portable DVD players for the boys. They opened at midnight; and unlike last year's bad luck, we all were able to get a lot of the good deals we went hunting for! We were back in bed by 2am Friday, and the boys were awake at 6am...good times! After a little breakfast it was back out shopping for some more good deals. Needless to say...everyone was in bed pretty early on Friday night.
The kids were either playing air hockey on our new table downstairs, playing Wii, playing outside, or playing card games the entire weekend. They were busy.....non-stop!
Friday morning they played a little Candy Land while eating breakfast.
Brian was always right in on the action...a bit of a wrestling match over a football broke out in the living room floor Friday afternoon.
Even Samson got in on the action!
Catchin some snuggle-time with Poppy!
Saturday morning everyone was up early to go to Tyson's hockey game at 9am.
Talk about a great cheering section:) Tyson did a great job...as always..and really enjoyed showing of his "moves" for the family!
Saturday night was the much anticipated Rush game! Brian, Scott, Kyra, Tyson, Cade, and Aiden went in early to stand in line for the free jerseys they were handing out to the first 1,000 youth. Everyone got one, and were excited to show them off during the game.
Nugget came over to say "Hi" before the game.
Kyra and Lex with "Donkey"...as Aiden fondly refers to him!
Check out that stud in his jersey:)
These 4 sat in our season tickets for the first period, and then switched out for the last 2 periods.
Check out those 2 handsome boys!
Poppy...always taking pictures:)
The rest of the family sat up just a few rows and to the right of where our season tickets were, so it was easy going back and forth between the two.
Pounding on the glass hoping for a puck...and wouldn't ya know...one came over the glass, so Cade got a great souvenir to take back home with him:)
Aiden giving it his best shot...
The game didn't start until 8pm, so it was a late night to say the least...but hey...at least they scored this year! The Rush played a great game in fact, and pulled out the win! Sunday morning came quickly, and everyone was on their way back home by noon! It was sad to have everyone go. We had a great time getting to spend the holiday with everyone, and are counting down the weeks til we can all be together to celebrate Christmas! Thanks again everyone for coming up!
